FAQs
How many people are needed to form a team?
The ideals team size is 6-8 people to prepare the meal, 6-8 to serve, and 6-8 to clean up. Some teams split their group into shifts, based on these needs.
The time commitment is about 5 hours total.
Can youth groups participate?
Youth groups are welcome as long as there is adequate adult supervision. Generally, one adult is need per three to four children, depending on their
age. Extremely young children (under 8 years of age) have a difficult time
staying focused on the task and become bored. Children under sixteen cannot
use knives in the kitchen or operate the high temperature dish washer.
How much does it usually cost the team to prepare a meal?
Effective April 1st, 2009 The Community Table is planning menus and
providing food in exchange for a suggested $100 minimum donation and eight gallons of milk. This
will help us utilize donated food and pay the rent in our new location.
